Shawn Burton, Postdoctoral Associate

I study the contributions of individual cell classes to sensory processing in the olfactory system, with a specific focus on inhibitory interneurons. I received my Ph.D. in 2016 from Carnegie Mellon University, where I trained in electrophysiology and computational modeling under Nathaniel N. Urban. I joined the Wachowiak laboratory in October 2016 as a postdoctoral fellow to train in neural imaging and behavioral manipulations.
